Father's Day

We had a great Father's day! We started the day by letting Adam sleep in a little since that never gets to happen with a 2 year old and then Marley marched into the bedroom to hand daddy the card she got for him (with her signature all over it!). We had a light breakfast to save room for our special lunch at Cafe Buenos Aires downtown. I had the Lomito Argentino (argentine steak sandwich on baguette) and it was amazing! Adam had the Parrillada de Carney Verduras (3 grilled meats and veggies)...just perfect for the man that only wants meat and veggies!

Then we headed down State Street for a little shopping (for me actually!). Pretty sad when you spend time on Father's day exchanging stuff for Adam and getting a little something for myself instead. He could actually care less...what a great husband.

As you can see from the pictures, Marley was a bit pooped after lunch and shopping! She couldn't quite wait to get home for nap. Thankfully she went right back to sleep once we plopped her in bed.

Then after Marley's nap we went for a little hike by one of the local beaches. The views from the cliffs were amazing and we watched some of the surfers, which is always cool for me. The only downside to the hike were the crazy allergies Adam and Marley got when we got home that evening. :) But it was a great day and just special time together as a family. That's all we really wish for anyways!

My First Blog Post

Wow! I finally did it...created a blog of my own. I've been reading my friends blogs for years thinking I really need to do that! What a great way to capture all those great daily adventures of being a mom and wife. Now that we're in Santa Barbara, CA away from all our family and friends, I thought this would also be a fun way to tell our story and keep in touch. I can't wait to get started!
